KPPGCA – established on 29th January 2003 – was born of a felt need for a professional body to provide proactive support to professional education and facilitate and streamline admission to postgraduate professional courses, viz., MBA and MCA. KPPGCA has in its fold 113 member institutions which are affiliated to respective universities in Karnataka.
KMAT 2010: During the past five years, KPPGCA has been orchestrating the process of admission to MBA and MCA courses to fill the management quota of seats in the member institutions by holding the "Karnataka Management Admission Test (KMAT)" at test centers across Karnataka.
This year KMAT 2010 is scheduled to be held on Sunday, the 25th July 10, from 2pm to 5pm.
Besides facilitating admission to MBA and MCA courses, KPPGCA is actively spearheading a variety of academic, curricular and co-curricular programmes.
The association’s activities include:
* Faculty development programmes and workshops
* Assistance in placement for students
* Organising seminars, exhibitions, conferences and lecturers
* Establishing Industry – Institution networking
* Publication of Journals, Books and Articles
* Organising domestic and international Education tours
* Conducting tests and facilitating admissions
* Consultancy and research services to Corporate and Education sectors
* Liaison with University, UGC, AICTE and Govt.
* Advisory services on courses, syllabus, research, academic administration, etc
* Organising inter-collegiate sports, cultural and literary events
